Liopa has risen to the top of a field of eight finalists in the “Most Promising Pilot” award at the Leading Healthcare Awards 2020. All of the finalists can be seen profiled here.
We were recognised for our SRAVI pilot, where Lancashire Teaching Hospitals have piloted a communications aid for tracheostomy patients, aimed at improving patient engagement and autonomy. The android application leverages Liopa’s Lipreading technology and, when downloaded onto a device and held in front of the patient, tracks lip movement and identifies phrases being mouthed.
“It’s our hope that our SRAVI application gives a new lease of life to tracheostomy patients, enabling them to communicate with their carers, family and friends,” said CEO Liam McQuillan. “We are honoured to be recognised by the Leading Healthcare Awards again this year.”
